You have to wait for it the entire year, and it goes by SO fast. To enjoy it a bit longer, we have selected the top 8 EV Cars of SEMA 2022, which you check out from your couch. This top 8 is just a grasp of what we think we’re the most iconic EV Cars of SEMA 2022. Did we miss one? Let us know!
Electrollite – The Tesla Swapped 1972 Plymouth Satellite
You have seen this Tesla Swapped 1972 Plymouth Satellite, called Electrollite, before on our blog, but we are sure not only here. This is for a reason. The car is super clean, and looks great and it is nice that somebody has taken a Plymouth instead of the usual Chevy or Ford for a Musclecar EV Conversion.
Do check his Youtube channel for more info and/or follow him at Instagram.

Nissan Sunny B120 Pickup EV Conversion
You just cannot miss the colorful and OEM racing-colored Nissan Sunny B120 Pickup, which was converted for SEMA 2022 by Nissan. It is very cool and inspiring to see that big corporate players like Nissan also take part in this fairly new scène of EV conversion. Actually, we already did a story on this Nissan a short while ago, so we do not go further in-depth here, but it is most definitely a car that belongs in the Top 10 EV Cars of SEMA 2022.

Tesla Swapped 1965 Mustang by Revolt Systems
This car is a collab with a lot of cool companies you probably already know. The car was on display at the Legacy EV booth and has Revolt Powerparts and a Roadster Shop frame and was teamed up with Torque Trends, Inc. On paper this car already rips haha. Do check out the links of their Instagram channels to find an abundance of inspiring companies and pictures. They all belong in the Top 8 EV Cars of SEMA 2022 and we shall see them in more lists in the future.

Jeep CJ7 Surge Concept EV Conversion by Mopar
This car is rather interesting because it appears to be a prototype for an upcoming electric crate motor kit that Mopar may consider releasing in the future. The six-cylinder factory engine is replaced by a 200 kW (268 horsepower) electric motor powered by an expandable 400-volt design in this EV Restomod project. The battery pack is made up of 24 lithium-ion modules with a combined capacity of 50 kWh, all of which are housed in a specially made shell that is positioned in the back of the cabin, behind the seats.

Scorpion Electric Roadster
Scorpion appears to be further ahead of its rivals, which is unexpected for a business that was only established in 2019. Guilherme “Bill” Cardoso, the founder and CEO of the firm, stated that they were not attempting to change the vehicle’s original format. “What we’re trying to do is demonstrate the appearance of this platform’s upcoming generation. Innovating in the 1960s, Shelby took an iconic body from A/C Cobra in England to America and fitted it with a 289 or 427 Ford engine to make the car obscenely quick.” The next iteration of that is what we’re working on, and it will include an electric motor for speed and performance.
Think of the Scorpion EV, an electric vehicle. Made from a Factory Five Racing Cobra in Temecula, California. Scorpion includes a Tesla drivetrain in addition to certain exclusive controllers and software to even arrive at 1000 hp….

E-Scrambler Jeep 1984 by Electric GT
Last year Electric GT showed their 911 EV at SEMA, but this year Electric and Tremec impressed big time with their E-scrambler Jeep. Electric GT’s is all about of retro-modern driving. They are designing and constructing systems to repower the future using timeless technologies. Powertrains for 100% Battery Electric Vehicles are produced by Electric GT for the automobile industry. Their solutions are full ecosystem swaps from ICE to EV vehicles, not just “eCrate Motors”! The latest EV technology is incorporated into EGT’s highly developed and precisely made eCrate systems, which stand for “Powered by Electric GT.” Want to take a look under the hood? Ariya Surfwagon Concept by Nissan
Ohh yeah, Nissan is really representing The Top 10 EV Cars of SEMA 2022 with their throwback to California-style surf “woodie” wagons.
The Nissan Ariya Surfwagon concept and Nissan Sunny LEAF project were developed in partnership with Tommy Pike Customs (TPC) of Greenville, South Carolina, and are meant to provide “inspiration as to how automobile excitement might thrive in a future of electric vehicles.”
Starting with the Ariya Surfwagon display car, it reinvents the 2023 Ariya electric crossover as a surf wagon, fusing vintage design with cutting-edge technology.

Exro Optimized Humvee
Exro Technologies felt that installing its innovative inverter for electric-powered vehicles—the Coil Driver—in vehicles would be the best approach to demonstrate its capabilities. At this year’s CES, the business unveiled a Humvee that was powered by their 800-volt coil driver. However, the business didn’t stop there; they also added a 100-volt gadget to a Polaris Ranger EV and a Zero SR/F electric motorcycle. More info in the video.

Concluding we couldn’t be more pleased with what we saw at SEMA 2022. Even the organization is quite onboard with this fresh wind of modifications and perhaps the Top 8 EV Cars of SEMA 2022 could be a top 25 or 50 in 2023?
